Background
CleverKit.com is the direct-to-consumer retail brand of Frequency Telecom, a ddistributor of mobile phone handsets and accessories. The site mainly sells to the high end of the business mobiles market.
The Problem
Shine Marketing were approached to build an ecommerce website for the new CleverKit brand. The site needed to be live in just 4 weeks ready for launch at the Gadget Show Live 2009, and also needed to be a simple enough to be used by a team who had never run an eCommerce business before.
Shine's Solution
Shine Marketing created a new site for CleverKit using the Interspire Shopping Cart software, an excellent choice for inexperienced start-ups. Our flexible development process allowed the client to be creating content for their initial range of around 100 products at the same time as we were carrying out bespoke integration with the Barclays ePDQ payment gateway and branding the storefront to the Cleverkit identity
The Results
We met the demanding deadline, not just on time but at less than half of the client’s original budget, leaving plenty left over for search marketing and email campaigns. The site now receives excellent volumes of traffic for a range of search phrases relating to Blackberry, HTC and other accessories brands.
