Background

George Davies is the high street fashion retail guru behind such brands as Next, George @ Asda and the Marks & Spencers premium brand Per Una.

The Problem

With George Davies departure from Marks & Spencer, a platform was needed to give information about George’s various business and charitable interests, including the launch of his latest brand GIVe.

Shine's Solution

Shine Marketing worked with George Davies’ in-house brand development agency, to develop a new site at george-davies.com along with two other websites under the George Davies brand: red-creative.biz and sporter.co.uk.

The Results

The george-davies.com site launched on 12th June 2009, the first public hint of George Davies’ new brand GIVe, followed the next day by a front page article in the Financial Times and a four page article in the FT Magazine. The site was successful in capturing and channeling the interest in the new brand through the right avenues, attracting further press comment about the new business, and consumer interest in the new brand.
